This fire restoration project originated from a lightning strike outside of the garage, spreading to the majority of the two-story single-family home. There was minimal structural damage but we had to gut the most of the home except for a couple of bedrooms and a bathroom. We also packed out, cleaned, and stored all the salvageable personal belongings of the homeowner. We worked closely and efficiently with the claims adjuster to agree on the correct scope of repairs and it took approximately 6 months to complete the project. This was an older home and as such, it presented us with issues bringing certain reconstruction items up to current building code standards. This is a common challenge with older homes. Another challenge unique to this project was that the homeowner requested, at their cost, to change the layout of the entire 2nd floor footprint. We were able to incorporate this into the repairs and it turned out beautifully.
