Oak Place Apartments (UMKC)

Project Details

This water loss job at 5050 Oak Street in Kansas City, MO 64112 was a 4-month restoration project. UMKC called Zipco with water everywhere caused by a pressurized sprinkler line break. We responded within an hour on a Sunday to 4 floors of water damage. The project mitigation services totaled over $250,000. The repairs were over $1,000,000 and completed in less than 3 months. The challenge of the project was that school was in session and Zipco’s team was able to assist the UMKC staff and approximately 130 students during the project. High priority and attention to detail helped with scheduling of repairs to get students back in the rooms in a timely manner. Included repairs are based on 4 floors and approximately 40 dorm rooms. Damages were pretty consistent in each unit including: insulation, drywall, baseboards, VCT, pad, carpet, carpet tiles, kitchen cabinets, and paint.

Zipco is celebrating 20 years in business! You will see this special celebratory logo on our emails, our website, and our social media accounts. We are proud of our accomplishments and hope we can continue to provide contracting and restoration contracting services for another 20 years in Kansas City, Springfield, and any additional new locations.
