This fire restoration project originated from a lightning strike which started a fire in the attic, spreading to the majority of the single-story home and fully finished basement. We worked closely with the insurance adjuster to quickly agree on the scope of repairs and costs associated with the agreed repairs. The repair process included gutting the entire home down to the stud walls and floor/ceiling joists. We tore off and re-framed the entire roof. One unique challenge of this project was the re-framing of the roof during the winter months and cold weather. We also packed out, cleaned, and stored all the salvageable personal belongings of the homeowner. The entire process took about 7 months to complete.
